What happens at a  Zest4life programme?
You will be part of a 10 week motivational group programme which runs during term times. We run 3 programmes termly per year. The group is typically between 12-15 people with a good blend of education and motivation. Not everybody on a Z4L programme is there purely for weight loss, some people attend to help improve their energy ,  stress levels or just simply to learn how to eat properly and healthily. Each week we will cover the following:
  • 1:1 Personal progess check- Weighing (using Body Composition analyser with 14 different health indicators), Food diary review, progess trackers
  • Wellbeing Topic- i.e. Boost your immunity, Stress Management, Seasonal Food Guide, Secrets of anti ageing through good nutrition
  • Motivational Coaching Topic- i.e.Finding better life balance, Time management, Finding your inner motivation, Rewarding yourself, Visioning
  • Weekly Action Planning and Goal Setting - set weekly weight loss and health goals
  • GL Revision- revision on various parts of the eating plan i.e. eating when out and about, better breakfasts, menu planning, great snack choices
What are the results and how much weight will I lose?
At  Zest4life, we will show you step by step how to achieve amazing results and feel better than you have done in years. Typically clients can lose up to 12 lbs in 5 weeks with significant improvements in a range of areas such as energy, digestion, mood, concentration, skin, hair, body fat and cholesterol.
 
What is the eating plan based on?
You will follow Patrick Holford's delicious and easy to follow low GL diet which has proven in many trials to be twice as effective as low calorie, low fat diets. 70% of people are overweight and confused by the myriad of fad diets out there and often conflicting information in books and magazines . We teach you how to eat properly and healthily in a way you can continue for the rest of your lives. You will learn which foods you can and cannot eat and how much and how often. You will never feel hungry on this plan or suffer with cravings or energy dips. You wlll be resetting your body from a fat storing to a fat burning machine and all it take is 30 days!
 
Why is it better than other diets or slimming programmes?
On many diets you are simply reducing your calorie intake and although the weight comes off initially often more goes back on at a much quicker rate than you lost it. This is because you are simply reducing your metabolic rate. Trials show that by eating a low GL way this does not happen and the weight lost is much more likely to be maintained. As Z4L programmes are run by fully qualified Nutritional Therapists, we can make sure you get the right support you need and if you have other health issues to be addressed, sometimes these can be the reason why you are not losing the weight, you have a qualified person available to you to identify problem areas and take appropriate action. This is why client report such significant health improvements as well as weight loss results when attending our programmes.

How do I join a Zest4life programme?

The next programme, the ' Superhealth' programme starts on 24th April 2012 - Tuesday evening from 7.30-9.30pm  at Carmenta Life, Berkhamsted.
