About 'Food to Heal'

'Food to Heal' is run by Katie O'Connell. Katie is a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist, a registered practitioner on the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council Register (CNHC),  the Nutritional Therapy Council and a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapy (BANT).

Katie runs her clinic for private 1:1 consultations from Carmenta Life in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. She works closely with clients to create a bespoke nutritional programme focusing on a specific health condition or simply to improve overall health and general well being. Katie carries out food intolerance testing for clients using finger prick blood tests.  She is also a Weight Loss Coach and runs Zest4life group nutrition and weight loss programmes in the Berkhamsted area.

Katie became interested in how food affects our health at an early age as she was diagnosed with a dairy and yeast food intolerance at 12 years old having suffered from chronic eczema as a child. At that time health food shops were in their infancy and most people were unaware of food intolerances. Having completely altered her diet and taken specific food supplements, the eczema which had plagued her during her early years soon healed.

She spent over 10 years working in the corporate world in London before deciding to train as a Nutritional Therapist and follow her passion to help others discover how to restore their health through diet. She trained with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and qualified in 2007 as a Nutritional Therapist.
